AML Policy

This policy explains how Nomini Casino prevents money laundering and terrorist financing, what we check, and what we expect from players.

1. Purpose

Nomini Casino is committed to preventing its services being used to launder money or to finance terrorism. This policy sets out the controls we apply, the checks players can expect and the obligations that rest with players themselves. It applies to every account, every payment method and every currency, including cryptocurrency.

2. Licensing framework

Nomini is operated by Rabidi N.V., registered in Curaçao, under e-gaming licence number 8048/JAZ, and follows the anti-money-laundering requirements that apply under that licence together with recognised international standards. The controls described here are those of the operator and its licensing authority, and they are reviewed regularly so that they keep pace with international guidance on financial crime.

3. What money laundering is

Money laundering is the process of disguising the origin of criminal proceeds so that they appear legitimate. In a gambling context it typically involves depositing funds, placing little or no genuine play, and then withdrawing the balance so that it looks like gambling winnings. Terrorist financing involves moving funds, lawful or otherwise, to support terrorist activity. Both are serious criminal offences, and both are what the controls below are designed to detect.

4. Customer due diligence

  • Every player is identified at registration, and identity is verified before the first withdrawal at the latest, as described on our Account Verification (KYC) page.
  • We confirm name, date of birth, residential address and ownership of the payment methods used on the account.
  • Players are screened against international sanctions lists and checked for politically exposed person status, and screening is repeated periodically.
  • Only one account per person is permitted, and third-party deposits are not accepted. Funds must come from an account held in the player’s own name.
  • Accounts that cannot be verified, or where documents are not supplied within the time we allow, may be suspended or closed.

5. Enhanced due diligence and source of funds

Where the risk is higher, we apply enhanced checks. This can follow from the size or frequency of transactions, an unusual pattern of play, a player’s jurisdiction or sanctions and PEP screening results. Enhanced checks may include evidence of source of funds and source of wealth, such as payslips, bank statements, a tax return, contracts of sale or documentation of a crypto holding. Where a satisfactory explanation is not provided, we may decline transactions, restrict the account or close it.

6. Transaction monitoring

Deposits, bets and withdrawals are monitored on an ongoing basis against risk-based rules and thresholds. Indicators we act on include deposits followed by withdrawal with minimal play, rapid movement of funds between methods, repeated deposits just below a reporting threshold, use of multiple cards or wallets on one account, and apparent collusion or linked accounts. Alerts are reviewed by trained staff, who can freeze transactions, request documents or escalate a case.

7. Cryptocurrency transactions

Crypto deposits and withdrawals are subject to the same identification and monitoring rules as fiat payments, with additional blockchain analytics applied to wallet addresses. We do not accept funds that analytics associate with darknet markets, mixing or tumbling services, ransomware, sanctioned entities or other illicit sources, and we may reject or freeze such transactions. Withdrawals are normally returned to a wallet the player controls, and crypto is not accepted as a route to convert funds from one form into another without genuine play.

8. Reporting obligations and measures

A nominated officer is responsible for this policy and for assessing internal reports. Where a suspicion of money laundering or terrorist financing cannot be dispelled, a report is made to the competent authority in the operator’s licensing jurisdiction, and we cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement. Where we are required to report, we may be prohibited by law from telling the player that a report has been made or from explaining why a transaction has been delayed or declined. We may suspend an account, withhold a withdrawal, void bets or terminate the relationship where this policy requires it.

9. Record keeping, training and data protection

Identification documents, transaction records and internal reports are retained for the period required by the applicable regulations, usually a minimum of five years from the end of the relationship, and are then securely deleted. Records are stored on protected systems using encryption technology, and access is limited to staff who need it. Staff in player-facing and payment roles receive anti-money-laundering training, and the policy and its risk assessment are reviewed regularly. Personal data is processed in line with our verification practices; UK players hold rights under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, as described on the Account Verification (KYC) page.

10. Your responsibilities

  • Register once, in your own name, with accurate details, and keep them up to date.
  • Use only payment methods and wallets that belong to you, and never deposit on behalf of anyone else or let anyone else use your account.
  • Fund your play from legitimate sources only, and supply the documents we request within the time we allow.
  • Do not attempt to use the platform to move or convert funds rather than to gamble.
  • Tell us immediately if you suspect your account has been accessed by someone else.

Failure to meet these responsibilities may lead to account closure, voided bets and withheld funds under our Terms and Conditions, and to a report to the relevant authorities.

11. Contact

Questions about this policy, or about a document request you have received, can be sent to support@nomini.com or raised on live chat, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
